GE C-2000 Contactor Product Information

GE's C-2000 Contactors are compact, convenient and compatible with most installation requirements. Various configurations can be created by combining the MCO contactors and MCR control relays with a wide selection of modular accessories. The high-performance Mini-Contactors are ideal for even highly demanding conditions. With a mechanical life rated at 10 million operations, and electrical life (AC-3) rated in excess of 1 million operations at rated current, they are ideal for many applications including pumps, fans, hoists, conveyors, and irrigation systems.

What is the difference between a Contactor and a Starter?

Both contactors and starters are essentially large relays. They are designed to handle either higher voltage, higher current, or both. Starters are used to turn motors on and off. Contactors are generally used to switch other equipment, such as lighting, on and off but may also be used to control small motors.

CL Series Contactors

SCS stocks the GE IEC CL-Series Contactors. This versatile, small footprint contactor is available with a wide variety of optional accessories such as thermal overloads, auxiliary contacts, mechanical interlocks, and transient voltage suppression. This series is available in current ratings from 9 amps through 140 amps (non-inductive). Up to 4 auxiliary contacts can be added to the smaller units and up to 8 auxiliary contacts can be added to the units from 90 amps and above.

SCS is stocking this line of contactors in ratings of 9 amp, 12 amp, 25 amp, and 32 amp with standard coils rated for 120 VAC – 50/60Hz. Other configurations are available on request.
