WTR Terminal Block Overview

The Weidmuller WTR 2.5 Disconnect Terminal Block is a compact solution for a disconnect (or interrupting-style terminal block that allows the user/operator to safely and conveniently interrupt the current in a feed-thru terminal block. The hinged- top design allows the user to quickly open the circuit and provides visual indication when the circuit has been interrupted. This disconnect terminal block has been on the market for many years. The basic part number for this (now obsolete) terminal block (without test sockets) is P/N 1011100000.

"Old-style WTR"

ZQV Jumpering

Several years ago, Weidmuller introduced the ZQV pluggable jumpers (or cross-connection) for the WDU 2.5 series of terminal blocks. This innovative jumpering system provided fast and reliable jumpering and was an instant success. As a result, users began requesting the same exceptional functionality for the WTR disconnect blocks.

Change in Design

Weidmuller responded by introducing a new WTR design. The new design features a smaller disconnect lever and a slot for the insertion of the ZQV 2.5 series pluggable jumpers. The basic part number for this terminal block (wihout test sockets) is P/N 1855610000.

"New-style WTR"

Fuse Plug Option (SIHA)

The WTR 2.5 Disconnect terminal block is available without the hinged disconnect lever. This allows the insertion of the SIHA fuse holder. Utilizing this option will allow the use of a 5 x 20mm fuse to be inserted into the circuit. This creative fuse holder features a staggered design that permits the user to install 5 x 20mm fuses in adjacent terminal blocks while occupying ONLY 5mm of terminal block real estate! The basic version of this plug, without LED indicator, is SIHA 3/G20 P/N 7921560000.

Component Plug (BEST)

The BEST Component holder can be utilized with the WTR 2.5 to hold a variety of electrical elements. One of the standard configurations includes a 1N4007 Diode. This is the BEST/D P/N 1878560000.

Test Sockets

The WTR 2.5 Disconnect Terminal Block is available with STB test sockets. This allows the maintenance personnel to conveniently insert a test plug. The STB test sockets are in the same location as the standard cage clamp screw. The basic WTR 2.5 Disconnect Block with STB Test Sockets is P/N 1855620000.
