The SAK Series Terminal Blocks was one of the first modular terminal blocks introduced into the U.S. marketplace. Early block designs snapped onto "G-Shaped"? rail called TS-32. The width of this rail is 32 mm. One of the advantages of this type of rail is that the terminal blocks can be snapped onto the rail in only one direction. This insures that the live electrical components of one block cannot come into contact with the adjacent block’s components.
The original SAK Series Terminal Blocks had springs in the mounting foot and would only fit this "G"? rail. Later, the SAK Series Terminal Block product line was expanded to include a "combi-foot"?. This mounting foot would allow the terminal block to be mounted on either the "G-Shaped"? rail or, as an alternative, the standard, TS 35 DIN Rail.
The SAK Series Terminal Blocks introduced the vibration resistant, cage/screw clamp technology. The hardened steel screw and clamp is used to compress the wire against the copper busbar in this system.
A wide variety of terminal blocks, such as feed-thru, fused, disconnect, ground blocks, and more, are still available in this proven product line. Here are some of the more commonly used products in the SAK line: |
