DIN is an abbreviation coming from the German “ Deutsches Institut für Normung” which is translated as the German Institute for Standardization. DIN rail has a standardized width of 35mm. It is shaped like a top-hat and is used for mounting terminal blocks, circuit breakers, and other control equipment
